Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has issued directives aimed at enhancing Bangladesh’s tourism sector by ensuring high-quality services for visitors. These instructions were given during the first meeting of the new board of directors of the Bangladesh Tourism Board (BTB), held at Gono Bhaban in Dhaka.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Hasina emphasized that Bangladesh possesses “immense potential” in the tourism industry. She directed officials to focus on the proper maintenance of existing tourist spots and to work on developing new, attractive locations. The objective of these efforts is to increase the number of both domestic and foreign tourists visiting the country.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of providing comprehensive training for tourist guides to ensure professional service delivery. She also called for the implementation of all necessary steps to guarantee the safety and security of tourists at various destinations.
