Kathmandu, May 3: The last month,
April, saw a record number of foreign tourists’ arrival- over 116 thousand in
Nepal. It is the first such highest foreign footfall in five years.
According to the statistics of the
Nepal Tourism Board, a total of 116,490 foreign tourists arrived in Nepal in
April against 111,376 during the same period in 2024 and 98,773 in 2023.
The gradual rise of tourists’ visit
following the COVID-19 pandemic indicates a growing recovery in the tourism
sector as in the pre-pandemic time and an increasing global interest in Nepal,
the Board said in a recent press statement.
