The Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation in Kathmandu, Hit Bahadur Tamang, has stated that identifying and developing new tourist destinations will boost the tourism sector. He confirmed that future tourist infrastructure development plans, including popular destinations such as hill stations and the Great Himalayan Trail, are in progress. He also unveiled plans to implement a ‘Trail Based Tourism Programme’ in collaboration with the Swiss government, the Ministry of Tourism, and 29 local organizations in the coming year.
