Kathmandu: The 46th Tourist Police Day was marked in the capital city today.
Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey honoured different organizations and personalities for their support to the Tourist Police.
On the occasion, Minister Pandey appreciated the role played by the Tourist Police for the security of tourists and for addressing their grievances.
Emphasizing tourism promotion, Minister Pandey viewed that all tourism fraternities should uplift their capacity. Inspector General of Nepal Police Basanta Bahadur Kunwar said the coordinated role of all stakeholders was utmost for the security of tourists adding that the lone efforts of police were not sufficient for this.
