With travel advisories issued by the United States and the United Kingdom asking their citizens not to travel to Jammu and Kashmir, the Lt Governor of Ladakh, Brig BD Mishra (retd), said it was creating confusion and concern among the foreign and domestic tourists planning to visit the region as Ladakh has been categorised under J&K.
The L-G stated that appropriate action would be taken against these travel advisories.
Sources said the UT may take up the matter with the Union Ministry of External Affairs to save the region from the negative impact of the travel advisories at the start of the tourism season.
