In an attempt to curb potential spread of the novel coronavirus, Saudi Arabia has temporarily suspended visas for individuals seeking to undertake the “umrah” pilgrimage, as well as tourism visas from countries deemed at high risk of the virus. Despite having no documented cases of the illness, the move comes out of caution as some proximity regions have reported occurrences of the virus.
