After Coldplay’s successful six-date concert run at the Singapore National Stadium in January 2024, Ed Sheeran will continue to fuel the music momentum with his +-=÷× Tour (also known as The Mathematics Tour) and an intimate evening show in Singapore. Find out how to get through one of 2024’s biggest gigs with this survival guide on Ed Sheeran’s concerts in Singapore, from how to get there, and merchandise information, to the song setlist you can expect.

Although the British singer-songwriter will only perform for two consecutive dates in Singapore, and at different venues, attendees can expect a distinctive experience due to the dissimilar thematic nature of the respective concerts.

On February 16, Ed Sheeran will kick off his first show in Singapore with the spectacular +-=÷× (The Mathematics) Tour at Singapore National Stadium. Following this, the British musician will perform in a more intimate environment for “An Evening with Ed Sheeran” at the Capitol Theatre on February 17.

For a stress-free concert experience, pre-planning is essential to ensure maximum enjoyment. Read on for our complete guide on surviving and fully immersing in the euphoric sounds of Ed Sheeran’s concerts in Singapore.

Ed Sheeran’s +-=÷× (The Mathematics) Tour in Singapore – 16 February 2024

How to get to the National Stadium in Singapore

Because parking is limited, arriving via public transport like train or bus is advisable at least one hour before the show starts. This will help minimise disruption to traffic flow.

Train – Alight at Stadium MRT Station (CC6) on the Circle Line. It is the nearest station which exits directly into the Singapore Sports Hub.

Alternatively, visitors can travel from Mountbatten MRT Station (CC7) or Kallang MRT Station (EW10). Both are approximately 600m walking distance to Singapore Sports Hub. The former also serves as an alternative station via the Circle Line for leaving the venue. This option is ideal because the route to Stadium MRT Station will be congested with departing attendees, as proven by previous concert gigs like Coldplay.

Bus – Alight at Stadium Station (80199) for Bus 11, National Stadium (80219) for Bus 10, 14, 16, 16M, 70, 196, and Opposite National Stadium (80211) for Bus 10, 14, 16, 16M, 70, 196.

What to do upon arrival at the National Stadium

Security Checks & Admission Rules

Admission to show/venue by full ticket only. Printed/electronic tickets must be produced for admission.

All attendees are required to go through the security checks before the concert. There will be security checks at the designated security checkpoints. Do check the gate number on your tickets in advance, arrive early and head to the designated security checkpoints on arrival. Ticket holders can enter the venue when gates open at 4:30pm.

What to bring (and not to bring)

Concert-goers should adhere to the following Singapore Sports Hub admission policy to ensure seamless entry into the National Stadium on the concert day of Ed Sheeren’s Singapore leg. Also, carry only the essentials for quick security checks. Attendees are also encouraged to stay hydrated throughout to prevent over-exhaustion and hyperthermia.

The following will not be allowed into the venue:

  • Outside food and drinks
  • Non-collapsible umbrellas
  • Liquid containers (personal water bottles are allowed and must be emptied before entering the venue)
  • Bags exceeding 35cm x 20cm x 30cm (i.e., too large to be stored under a seat)
  • Noise makers include but not limited to air horn, whistle, etc.
  • Flags, placards and banners with offensive slogans, political messages or advertisement
  • Fan boards sized bigger than 42cm x 29.7cm (A3)
  • Chairs and stools
  • Patrons with prohibited items such as vapes and cameras will be denied entry.
  • For safety reasons, wheelchairs and crutches are prohibited on the Concert Floor (Level 1).
  • Food & beverages are available for sale inside the venue.

Child Policy

  • Children aged 3 and above must purchase a ticket for admission.
  • No admission for infants in arms and children aged below 3 years old.
  • Children under 12 years old or below 1.2m in height are not allowed into the standing areas.

Audio, Photography & Videography Policy

  • No professional photography, videography, and social media live streaming are allowed.
  • Strictly no cameras, video cameras, GoPros, iPads and tablets.
  • No selfie sticks, tripods and monopods.

Where to get official Ed Sheeran merchandise

The official merchandise booths for Ed Sheeran’s +-=÷× (The Mathematics Tour) Singapore concert are located at Stadium Riverside Walk, OCBC Square, South West Tunnel, South Dome Deck, and more. Refer to the image above for location details. Items are while stocks last.

Full details including merchandise booth location information and operating hours, security checkpoints, queue zones and admission rules, are available on the event page of the Singapore Sports Hub website.

Ticket holders are encouraged to purchase their merchandise before entering the National Stadium. Refunds/exchanges are only applicable to damaged or defective items that are purchased at the concert site, so please check your items before leaving the counter.

Strictly no refunds/exchanges will be made once you leave the counter. The organiser reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions.

An Evening with Ed Sheeran at Capitol Theatre in Singapore – 17 February 2024

After performing a night at the 55,000 pax-capacity Singapore National Stadium, Ed Sheeran will stage a smaller intimate concert at the storied Capitol Theatre on February 17 titled “An Evening with Ed Sheeran”. Here is some information you need to know if you’ve gotten tickets to this cosy gig.

How to get to Capitol Theatre in Singapore

Because parking is limited, arriving via public transport like train or bus is advisable at least one hour before the show starts. This will help minimise disruption to traffic flow.

Train – Alight at City Hall MRT Station (NS25/EW13) on the North-South Line and East-West Line respectively. It is the nearest station which exits directly into the Capitol Building via the underpass.

Bus – Alight at City Hall Stn Exit B (04167) for Bus 61, 124, 145, 166, 174, 197, After City Hall Station Exit B (04168) for Bus 32, 51, 63, 80, 195, 851, 961, and Capitol Building (04111) for Bus 7, 14, 16, 16M, 36, 77, 106, 111, 131, 167, 175 and 857.

What to expect for “An Evening with Ed Sheeran at Capitol Theatre” in Singapore (and setlist)
