Malaysia’s low-cost carrier AirAsia has announced the suspension of several routes, including the Ipoh-Singapore service, raising concerns among authorities about its potential impact on tourism.
According to a notice on the airline’s website, the Ipoh-Singapore route will be suspended from April 25, though no official reason for the decision has been provided.
Authorities in Perak state, where Ipoh is located, said they were not consulted or informed before the announcement, The Star reported.
