Prime Minister Lawrence Wong emphasised the need for Singapore to remain competitive in the global tourism industry by playing to its strengths and using imaginative strategies, while prioritising customer service. Wong highlighted the rise in global tourism competition and cautioned that Singapore should not be complacent in its tourism strategies. He stated this at the Singapore Tourism Board’s annual Singapore Tourism Awards. He noted that despite the country’s development in tourism sector over years, there’s still a need to compete and stand out among many options available to tourists.
