In a move towards promoting responsible tourism practices, the City of Cape Town’s Tourism and Place Marketing Branch convened industry businesses at the World Travel Market Africa to sign the Responsible Tourism pledge.
This pivotal event was held at Africa’s largest travel trade show, showcasing tourism that not only captivates visitors but also enhances the well-being of local communities.
The signing of the pledge marks the beginning of a journey towards launching a new Responsible Tourism Charter later this year, aligning with the UN World Tourism Organisation’s 2024 theme of ‘Sustainable Journeys. Timeless Memories’.
