The Durban Tourism Business Awards recognized remarkable tourism businesses at a lavish ceremony held at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre on June 13. Winners received cash prizes of up to R50,000. The first runners-up obtained a development package worth R35,000, whereas the second runner-up was awarded R25,000 worth of prizes. These prizes included laptops, printers and tablets. Winners of the Exceptional Achievement Award were granted an international study tour valued at R100,000. All winners will also benefit from vast marketing opportunities for their companies. Arthouse Pictures won the Upcoming Filmmakers Award.
