Ethiopian Airlines has become the first airline in Africa to welcome the Airbus A350-1000 to its fleet. The arrival was celebrated with a formal ceremony at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport by government officials, diplomats and representatives of Airbus and Thales.
The aircraft’s arrival from Toulouse, France, was greeted with a water cannon salute. In addition to expanding Ethiopian Airlines’ fleet, the delivery included medical supplies, valued at over €100 000, donated to the Ethiopian Airlines Foundation by Aviation Sans Frontières in partnership with Airbus.
