IRELAND have been dealt a massive blow ahead of this summer’s tour of South Africa.
Andy Farrell’s side are set to face the world champions in July but will be without Iain Henderson.
The Ulster captain has been ruled out for three months after a toe injury.
And the second-row is expected to be sidelined until mid-August as he will face surgery on the injury.
The 2024 Six Nations Championship winners are scheduled to face Rassie Erasmus’ side in twice.
First up, the rivals will play in Pretoria on 6 July, with the second test set to be in Durban.
Elsewhere, Ireland ace Mack Hansen will miss Connacht’s crucial United Rugby Championship clash against the Stormers.
The Ireland winger has not featured for club or country since dislocating his shoulder against Munster on New Year’s Day.
