Cape Town’s local council has given approval for the City’s Events Department to enter into a new agreement to sponsor the Investec SA Women’s Open for the next three years.
The Council approval will see the City provide support for the country’s premier women’s professional event for the 2023/24, 2024/25, and 2025/26 financial years.
The new agreement with the Women’s Professional Golf Association (WPGA) will come into effect ahead of the 2024 Investec SA Women’s Open, which will take place at the Erinvale Golf Estate in Somerset West from April 25-18.
This will be the seventh straight year that Cape Town will host the country’s oldest and most prestigious professional women’s golf tournament.
