While a significant proportion of the industry have responded positively to the appointment of a new board and CEO at South African Tourism, uncertainty remains over whether the appointments will bring much-needed stability to the organisation.
In our latest poll, we asked whether the new board, along with CEO Nombulelo Guliwe, would help to instil more confidence in Destination South Africa, following tumultuous times and multiple changes of leadership for the marketing agency.
In response to the poll, 28% of readers said the new appointments would bolster confidence, while 33% responded in the negative. The remainder (39%) were unsure about whether the elected board would have a positive impact.
The new SA Tourism Board consists of six females and five males with a range of experience and qualifications, including Master’s degrees, law degrees, PhDs, and post-graduate degrees.
