In a collaborative conservation effort, white rhinos have been translocated from South Africa to Tanzania’s Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The translocation was facilitated by &Beyond in partnership with Tanzania’s Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority.
The rhinos, donated by the Munywana Conservancy in KwaZulu-Natal, were relocated as part of a long-term strategy to establish a genetically diverse breeding population in Tanzania.
