The Department of Home Affairs has opened a second application window for its Trusted Tour Operator Scheme (TTOS) following a surge in interest from the tourism sector. The scheme, launched on February 12, streamlines visa processing for tourists from China and India through a fully digital platform.
Minister of Home Affairs Leon Schreiber confirmed that the latest intake follows technical upgrades to the system and high demand from tour operators eager to participate. This move was officially gazetted on April 4, inviting eligible tour operators to apply to join the scheme via the department’s dedicated online portal. Paper-based applications will not be accepted.
