Vergelegen Wine Estate’s one-hectare sunflower field has burst into bloom, heralding the start of its annual Sunflower Celebration. The blooms, traditionally associated with warmth and positivity, offer visitors a range of unique experiences – from culinary delights to fresh floral offerings.
The freshly picked sunflowers are available in the estate’s wine tasting room – in bunches of five stems – alongside a special edition of rosé for R150 (€7.68). A portion of the proceeds supports honey bee research and related initiatives on the estate, reflecting Vergelegen’s commitment to sustainability.
