Toilet paper is becoming more and more of a luxury for many people, given the price.
And it’s not even about the quality, just having toilet paper is a big deal.
If you can afford 2-ply toilet paper, then consider yourself living a good life.
This was made apparent to us when we saw a post shared by a person visiting from New Zealand.
Of all the questions that a person could ask about South Africa, and there are many, the New Zealander asked everyone on Reddit:
“Visiting here from NZ, and I have just one question. Why is the toilet paper in jail/who’s stealing the rolls?”
The reaction from South Africans was diverse, as you might imagine.
