South African Tourism – through the South Africa National Convention Bureau (SANCB), in partnership with the Southern African Tourism Educators of South Africa (TESA) – has announced Hlolohelo Zwane as the winner of the 2024 Future Leaders Forum – International University Challenge at Meetings Africa.
Zwane was one of three finalists, competing against James Kgabo, also from Tshwane North College and Anais Saayman from the North West University for the honour of representing the country on the global stage.
The competition was open to young people below the age of 35 currently pursuing qualifications in Tourism and Hospitality.
This competition provides students an opportunity to showcase their creativity in conceptualising, planning and coordinating business events.
As part of her pitch, Zwane presented on the Urban Townships Future Summit which promises to shape the future of South African townships.
