UN Tourism has officially launched the 2025 edition of its Best Tourism Villages initiative, continuing its efforts to promote rural tourism as a driver of sustainable development, cultural preservation and community inclusion.
Since its inception in 2021, the initiative has gained widespread recognition with over 800 applications from more than 100 countries across its previous four editions. Today, 254 villages worldwide are part of the Best Tourism Villages Network, representing nearly 60 countries across five global regions.
