Book enthusiasts will be spoilt for choice as the world’s largest floating book fair, the Logos Hope docked in Durban following an eight-year hiatus.
The ship docked at the Port of Durban, Nelson Mandela Cruise Terminal on May 8 and will be here until June 2. During the book fair, Durban Tourism will utilise the opportunity to have activations with interesting activities that will promote Durban as a world-class cruise port destination.
Visitors to the Logos Hope will be offered an expanded selection of over 5, 000 books that cover a wide range of subjects including science, sports, hobbies, cookery, arts, medicine, languages, and religion at an affordable price.
The selection will also boast children’s titles, academic texts, dictionaries, atlases, and more. eThekwini mayor, Cllr Mxolisi Kaunda said the visit is an indication that the investment made through the Port of Durban expansion is now paying off and attracting more cruise liners to the city.
