TAT concluded the Amazing Thailand Experience Forum with 3,000 B2B appointments. The event showcased luxury travel experiences and sustainable tourism practices to North American advisors.
The Amazing Thailand Experience Forum 2024, held from 13-20 January, saw the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) showcase the kingdom’s luxury travel experiences and sustainable tourism practices to 35 qualified luxury travel advisors from the United States and Canada. The event featured at least 3,000 B2B appointments, highlighting the TAT’s strategic direction towards high value and sustainable growth.
The program was a collaborative effort between the TAT offices in New York and Toronto and aimed to connect qualified luxury travel advisors in the Virtuoso network with luxury travel suppliers in Thailand. Attendees had the opportunity to experience firsthand the latest luxury offerings and services on offer across the kingdom.
The trade meet event, held on 17 and 19 January, was attended by 70 Thai suppliers including hotels and resorts, as well as other luxury travel product and service providers. The program included a market briefing for Thai suppliers, a product presentation, a special session on sustainable elephant conservation, table-top sales for North American travel advisors and Thai suppliers, and a welcome reception.
The Thai government has set a target to welcome some 40 million foreign visitors this year, as Thai authorities expect the tourism sector to generate 3.5 trillion baht in revenue.
