TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Euromonitor International has crowned Bangkok as the world’s top tourism city in 2024 after the Thai capital welcomed a record-breaking 32.4 million visitors. The number far exceeds second-place Istanbul, which welcomed 23 million foreign arrivals.
As a tourist city, Bangkok already surpassed the pre-pandemic level of international tourism in 2023 and continued with 30 percent growth this year.
