Euromonitor International, a market research and data analytics company, has named Thailand’s capital Bangkok as the world’s most international tourist city by 2024, after welcoming a record 32,4 million visitors.
This figure far exceeds Istanbul (Türkiye), the second city on the list with 23 million visitors, followed by London (UK) with 21,7 million visitors.
Bangkok’s success is due to its tourism policies and the country’s overall appeal. The country’s tourist-friendly visa policies have played a major role in boosting the city’s appeal.
