On June 27, 2024, GoPro, a leading action camera brand, announced a collaboration with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) to promote ocean health and climate stability. The collaboration commenced during the GoPro World Ocean Day 2024 event, held from June 20-23 at Ko Tao, Surat Thani. The partnership brought together passionate local divers and GoPro enthusiasts from the Asia-Pacific region with an aim to further ocean conservation initiatives that align with Thailand’s commitment to sustainable tourism and preservation of marine ecosystems. TAT Governor, Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool expressed confidence that compelling storytelling can influence positive behavioral change in people, which can, in turn, contribute to the protection of our environment.
