Israel increases level of travel alert for Thailand

Israel’s national security council on Sunday, raised the level of alert for Israelis traveling in Thailand to level 2. “This is not due to an increase in threats, but rather a call to review and highlight recommendations,” the NSC said.

Earlier this month, Mossad confirmed that terrorists were planning to attack a “Full Moon” party in the Thai island of Ko Pha Ngan, a favorite of Israeli tourists. “Two weeks after the announced threat, and since the risk of a terrorist attack persists, the NSC has increased its threat level for Thailand, and urges extra caution.”
