BANGKOK, THAILAND – A new study from digital travel platform Agoda has revealed significant tourism potential following Thailand’s landmark marriage equality legislation, which is on track to attract around 4 million additional international visitors each year. The law, scheduled to take effect on January 22, 2025, is expected to generate nearly USD 2 billion annually for the tourism sector alone.
