Thailand’s tourism industry is soaring to unprecedented heights, significantly contributing to its national economy.
In just three and a half months, Thailand garnered a staggering $13.5 billion from tourism alone. Official statistics reveal that from January 1 to April 14, a whopping 17.23 million tourists visited Thailand, injecting $13.05 billion into the national treasury.
Among the influx of tourists, China leads with 2 million arrivals, followed by 1.3 million from Malaysia, 1.095 million from Russia, 1.019 million from South Korea, and 1.047 million from India.
Thailand’s Minister of Tourism and Sports, Sudawan Wangsuphakjkosol, reported a recent surge in tourist arrivals, particularly from Muslim countries, extending into the post-Ramadan holiday period. The implementation of visa-free entry for several nations further fueled the influx of tourists, with an average of 150,000 arrivals per day and 618,000 visitors in the previous week alone.
In contrast, Pakistan boasts breathtaking natural landscapes, including majestic mountains, picturesque valleys, and serene rivers. Despite its abundant tourist attractions, Pakistan struggles to attract a significant number of tourists.
