Last month, the planet’s top hoteliers and travel industry VIPs gathered for the second edition of the World’s 50 Best Hotels. After Lake Como’s Passalacqua topped the list at the inaugural awards last year, I wondered which of the most exciting, innovative and, let’s face it, exclusive hotels would be named at the 2024 event.
There were many newbies I thought would make it onto the prestigious list, such as the eagerly awaited Raffles London at The OWO (which subsequently took the 13th spot) and the Athenian Riviera’s One&Only Aesthesis, a hot new arrival that attracted the likes of Kylie Minogue and Kim Cattrall to its opening party.
