According to hotel booking service Ostrovok, Russian tourists who arrange their vacations independently are most likely to visit neighboring countries. The top destinations include Belarus, Abkhazia, Turkey and Thailand, as well as Spain and France. While foreign bookings typically make up a small proportion of overall bookings, the number has risen by 72% compared to 2023, when they comprised just 8% of total bookings.
