The 27th East Mediterranean International Tourism & Travel Exhibition (EMITT) opened at Istanbul’s TUYAP Fair Convention and Congress Center on Tuesday. More than 600 tourism professionals from 95 countries have applied for participation in the show, which ends on February 9, its director said.
It is one of the top five tourism exhibitions worldwide for tourism and travel in the Balkans, the Middle East and Central Asia.
Trends in the sector, medical tourism, economics and destination marketing are on the agenda.
The organizers said that some 5,000 companies from nearly 95 countries, including Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, Brazil, Egypt, Iran, Japan, Northern Cyprus (recognized only by Turkiye) and Venezuela, are participating on an area of 70,000 square metres.
