The Tourist Tatvan Train, the latest in a series of popular tourist rail trips, successfully concluded its maiden journey, a nearly two-day long venture, aimed at showcasing the touristic treasures of the southeastern town of Bitlis. The arrival of the train was greeted with enthusiasm and celebration at Tatvan Station, with the gathering crowd participating in traditional folk dances amid a gust of trumpet sounds. The train embarked on its journey from Ankara, the capital city of Turkey, on June 24, and reached Tatvan late on June 25. Visitors were warmly received by local authorities, including the governor, the provincial director of the Culture and Tourism Ministry, and the head of police, who greeted them with roses.
