A night museum will boost tourism in the historic Pamukkale region of Türkiye with an expected 3 million visitors in 2024.
Pamukkale, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in western Denizli province, offers a unique experience for guests with its night museum.
The travertine area and the walking paths in the ancient city, ancient theater and the Hell’s Gate have a different appearance with lighting at night.
Gazi Murat Sen, the head of the local tourism and hotel management association, told Anadolu that the museum has excited tourism professionals in the region.
Noting that the association set a target of around 3 million local and foreign guests for 2024, he said the number will be exceeded thanks to the museums.
“With the start of night museums, our visitors will now be able to visit and enjoy Pamukkale more pleasantly, especially in cool weather,” said Sen.
He said Pamukkale will attract more visitors thanks to the lightning of ancient regions and the night museum.
