According to data from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism for the January-April period of 2024, Türkiye received a total of 10.65 million visitors, all of whom were foreigners.
Additionally, statistics from the Turkish Statistical Institute indicate that 2.02 million Turkish citizens residing abroad visited Türkiye during the latest three-month period. This brought the total number of visitors to 12.68 million.
Compared to the same period last year, the number of foreign visitors increased by 11.75%.
In the first four months of this year, Germany ranked first among countries sending the most visitors to Türkiye, with a 16.20% increase, totaling 1.12 million visitors.
Russia followed in second place with 1.08 million visitors, while Iran ranked third with a significant 51.78% increase, totaling 0.95 million visitors. Bulgaria and the U.K., followed.
In April, the number of foreign visitors to Türkiye increased by 8.71% compared to the same month last year, reaching 3.61 million.
