Kolkata: Türkiye is expecting Indian tourists’ footfall to grow by around 20 per cent by the end of this year. Deputy Director General for Promotion of Türkiye ministry of culture and tourism, Onur Gözet, shared the estimate on Monday.
He was speaking on the sidelines of the launch of a six-city roadshow by Türkiye ministry of culture and tourism and Türkiye tourism promotion and development agency in Kolkata.
Mr. Gözet told this newspaper, “India is one of the most tourism generating countries globally. It is specially important market for us also. Last year 3,30,000 Indian tourists visited Türkiye. This accounted for a growth rate of 20% compared to 2023. We hope to maintain the same pace this year…
