ISTANBUL, Feb. 13 (Xinhua) — Türkiye’s tourist hotspots attract many Chinese tourists during the week-long Spring Festival, or Chinese Lunar New Year, which fell on Feb. 10 this year.
Irfan Karsli, head of the Istanbul travel agency Ligarba, said in a recent interview with Xinhua recently that the Spring Festival is one of the biggest opportunities for millions of Chinese to travel abroad and a good opportunity for the Turkish tourism sector to welcome them in the best possible way.
Istanbul, the country’s largest city as well as its cultural and financial center, is the number one place attracts Chinese tourists, he said.
