Travellers planning summer holidays have been advised to prepare for extreme heat, with temperatures in parts of Europe predicted to hit a scorching 40C in July. Locations to feel the heat include the Spanish Adaluscian city of Cordoba and Seville, the Greek cities of Trikala and Larissa, and in Turkey regions near Askaray and the city of Kastamonou. These high temperatures are forecast to begin from July 4. Most of Greece is expected to see temperatures in the mid 30s on the same day. Turkish areas close to Askaray and the city of Kastamonou brace for a 40C day four days later on July 8.
