Abu Dhabi‘s culture and tourism department, DCT Abu Dhabi, has confirmed the Saadiyat Cultural District and its new museums are on track for completion in 2025.
Already home to the Louvre Abu Dhabi, the Saadiyat Cultural District will include institutions such as the Zayed National Museum, a natural history museum, Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, and a teamLab destination.
Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, chairman of DCT Abu Dhabi, said: “Culture transcends mere connections; it shapes our very evolution and broadens our perspectives. Here in Abu Dhabi, we embrace this influence, fostering a deep appreciation that resonates throughout our community. Saadiyat Cultural District embodies ‘cultural hope’.”
Per a press release, the new museums are 76 percent complete. The Zayed National Museum will serve as the national museum of the UAE, celebrating the nation’s history and culture.
