The UAE has achieved strong positions in the latest Travel and Tourism Development Index 2024, issued by the World Economic Forum (WEF), highlighting the country’s infrastructure and services.
The country ranked fifth globally and first among Arab countries in road quality, ninth globally and first among Arab countries in the efficiency of port services, and 10th globally and second among Arab countries in the efficiency of public transport services.
In a report published by state news agency, WAM, Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, attributed these results to the forward-looking vision of the UAE’s leadership, emphasising the country’s strategic planning and long-term goals. “These achievements reflect our proactive approach and strategic planning in various sectors and reaffirm the UAE’s ambition to become a globally recognised innovation and excellence hub,” Al Mazrouei said.
