If you’ve booked an Emirates flight from any Indian city to Dubai, you may get the benefit of visa on arrival subject to one important condition.
On February 1, the Dubai-based airline has partnered with VFS Global to launch a pre-approved visa-on-arrival for specific Indian passport holders who have made bookings with the airline.
The service is available to Indian passport holders who have a valid six-month visa for the US, a US Green Card, EU Residency, or UK Residency. If you have one or more of these documents, you can skip the immigration queues at the Dubai airport and get a a 14-day single entry visa.
However, the airline clarified that visa issuance remains entirely at the discretion of the UAE General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs.
