His TikTok account, called Small Brained American, with 160,000 followers has been in the limelight in recent days, with videos of his trans-Vietnam journey going viral on social media for all the wrong reasons.
A short video posted on March 27 shows his interactions with local people.
When he asks a local woman where to fill gas, he is given instructions in Vietnamese.
But he then added his own phrases and the subtitles say things like “It’s 2 km that way you dumb f..k” and “Get the f..k out of my face.”
Netizens have steadfastly refused see the humor.
In another video posted on March 30 that attracted more than 1.1 million views, he describes coffee sold on trains in Vietnam as “black like tarred” and tasting like “a cleaning agent.”

In one of his most viral videos, he is stopped by traffic policemen to check his driving license, but he wrongly subtitled what they said.
Though the video has been deleted from his TikTok account, it is available on Facebook.
Phuong Anh Dao posted a video in English on her TikTok account criticizing his behavior.
“This American tourist came to Vietnam but insulted Vietnamese people and food,” she said.
She said actions that defame a country’s culture should always be condemned as his conduct might make foreigners think Vietnamese people do not like them.
“Get out of Vietnam, please,” another TikTok user wrote.
“Vietnamese are friendly but we don’t like someone like you.”
The man has also traveled to several other Asian countries like India, Thailand, Myanmar, and Cambodia and done exactly the same thing as in Vietnam.
In a video posted on his TikTok channel on Dec. 18, he said: “India is the most disgusting place on the planet.
“India sucks. Don’t ever come here.”
