HOBACK, Wyo. — The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) issued a traffic alert at 1:01 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 29, stating that an avalanche had blocked a travel lane on US191 at milepost 157, south of Hoback Junction.
“Be prepared to stop, expect delays,” WYDOT said.
Avalanche conditions have been uniquely dangerous this year due to a historically unstable snowpack.
