GetYourGuide, a Germany-based online platform for booking tours, attractions, and activities, is removing certain categories from its marketplace as part of efforts to optimize its offerings. As of July 31, categories including self-guided audio tours, exploration games, scavenger hunts, eSIMs, and SIM cards will no longer be available. Vehicle rentals, unless they come with an associated tour or activity or driver, are also being removed. The company informed its suppliers of these changes, pointing towards terms and conditions that allow for content removal in cases where customers may be at risk or if there are excessive chargebacks or fraudulent transactions. The company declined to provide further clarification.
