March 7, 2025 – Weather permitting, the Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) has announced a partial opening of the new third travel lane on I-16 eastbound between I-95 and just west of Chatham Parkway that comprises part of the 16@95 Improvement Projects. The I-16 eastbound third lane will progressively open to traffic through Friday, March 7 starting at the Chatham Parkway Interchange working westward towards the I-16/I-95 Interchange.
