Feb. 4 (UPI) — Vice President JD Vance will attend conferences on technology and international security in Europe next week as part of his first overseas travel since taking office.
At the AI Action Summit in France, Vance will gather with other heads of state and tech executives to examine how governments around the world should respond to artificial intelligence and its fast-moving advances.
Vance will then travel to Germany for the Munich Security Conference to discuss the potential threats of technology. Former Vice President Kamala Harris and billionaire Elon Musk, who is now heading the Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency, both attended the conference in 2023.
