The data suggests that round-trip domestic airfare will drop about 38% from its peak summer prices in September and October, with average prices around $238, a $142 decrease from high summer fares. Some of the best deals are to San Diego and Salt Lake City, with average round-trip costs at $252 and $242 respectively, which are significantly lower than their summer peak prices.
