Tokyo’s Travel Tech: Futuristic Experience Offered by Unmanned Robot Restaurant

AI_SCAPE, a restaurant entirely run by robots, is gaining attention. It’s located in Haneda Innovation City (HICity), near Tokyo International Airport. The restaurant’s robot, Nyokkey, made by Kawasaki Heavy Industries, delivers food to patrons. HICity is Japan’s inaugural smart airport city, with parts of it opening in July 2020 and a grand opening in November 2023. Based on the concept of “innovation for all who come,” it includes offices and commercial facilities that showcase Japanese culture, as well as research and development sites for advanced technology.
