Jeju Island introduces an NFT tourism card offering travel subsidies, discounts, and benefits using blockchain and Tamna Jeon cryptocurrency.
Jeju Island in South Korea will launch a new tourism project in 2025. This project will use Non-Fungible Token (NFT) technology. The aim is to provide tourists with such benefits as travel subsidies, discounts and membership privileges. The project will also utilize a native cryptocurrency on Tamna Jeon.
According to the local media report, Korean tourists will start being able to get a ‘digital tourism resident card’ this year. However, the benefits this card will provide include travel subsidies. NFT will be connected to the card, which are secure digital assets. They are safe from hacking because these assets are stored on a blockchain. Transactions are recorded and can’t be altered according to Blockchain. Additionally, NFTs also prove ownership of digital content, making them a trustworthy option.
