A Detailed Project Report (DPR) will be prepared for tourism development in the historical town of Srirangapatna at a cost of ₹100 crore, according to Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Mandya.
Participating in a meeting of officials at the Deputy Commissioner’s office on Thursday, he said the DPR would focus on developing tourism destinations within a radius of 5.5 km from the famous Sri Ranganatha Swamy Temple.
The DPR would cover preservation of the ghats, the birthplace of Krishnaraja Wadiyar III, weapons used in the wars of the earlier days, kalyanis or ponds,…
